Born in England, Jane found a strong connection to Tibet and Buddhism from an early age. Travelling extensively through India and Nepal in the early seventies, her dream was to always go to Tibet. After moving to New Zealand with 13 Birman cats and 5 suitcases circumstances led to this dream being realized in 2009; 50 years after the uprising against the Chinese occupation of Tibet was so brutally crushed, and the departure of the Dalai Lama to live in India in exile.
